Hi, I am Norm ( E Z Goin ) Johnson. I am a 3^rd generation Trucker that started trucking in 1973. At the time being only 18 years old I didn’t start trucking “interstate” until I turned 21 in 1975. Back then there was no National CDL program. I purchased my first truck in 1976 and became an owner operator leased to one of North Americas largest truck load carriers.

Unlike today, transportation rates were much more profitable, I was able to pay off three trucks during my 8 years with that carrier. Also during that time I met my wife Donni at Boomtown Truck Stop and Casino in Verdi Nevada while I was enjoying the 1980 Trucker Appreciation Days ( the land for the truck stop was sold to Cabelas, so- long truck stop ).

Being a company driver since 1984, with three different companies, I am still trucking across the lower 48 and sometime Canada, and yes still married to the same Lady. I purchased this URL (web site name) in 1999, back then I was running sleeper-team. My plans are to set this up as a Blog first for me, and then as the community grows for other solo drivers. Now is a great time to register and secure your handle (such as iliveinatruck.com/YourHandle).

The better half (Racin' Granny) and I plan to make www.weliveinatruck.com into a community for teams. We also will be making www.weliveintrucks.com into an on-line community for all truckers. And www.weliveontheroad.com will be for everyone who suffers from, what my German mother used to call “Wonderlust”. Whether they be Truckers RVer's or just travelers of any sort, however right now they just re-direct here.

Having a wealth of experience from behind the wheel is one thing, however navigating this keyboard and the Internet is a new world for me. But with the help of family and friends both my wife and I are hoping to impart some of the wisdom that we have accumulated over the years.
